Become Alive

Beneath the crag of roots A slab of basalt hums Its edges flicker fire Static hymns in the carvings Open, unsee, the gate’s alive, Ancient chords opening voids inside Open, unseen, it warps the sides, Peek through the seams And become alive The ground seems soft It breathes like a skin A rhythm looped in my mind A spiral humming vibration Open, unsee, the gate’s alive, Ancient chords Opening voids inside Open, unseen, it warps the sides, Peek through the seams And become alive The wind is sharpening the wire The notes shred into A funereal pyre Step in, dissolve, and give in Don't believe it, it's a sin Beyond the rift, Absence exists Just endless grids of fractal time A voice in your calling, Strangely naming you It sings of dust A craving for a sign A gate in pure white silence A tear or a dream Or ceaseless balling Forever connected
