Strings of Affirmation

I name you now, the thing that feeds on fear The shadow that's been draining light for years You don't belong inside this sacred space This body is a temple you can't desecrate Leave this vessel, you have no claim here I reclaim the ground you stole from me Every chain you wrapped around my spirit Shatters at the sound of my own voice You whispered lies until I thought they were mine Convinced me I was broken by design But I was whole before you crawled inside And I'll be whole again when you're denied By blood and breath and bone I cast you out By every ancestor who walked this ground By fire and by water, earth and air I sever every thread that keeps you here Leave this vessel, you have no claim here I reclaim the ground you stole from me Every chain you wrapped around my spirit Shatters at the sound of my own voice Leave this vessel, you have no claim here I reclaim the ground you stole from me Every chain you wrapped around my spirit Shatters at the sound of my own voice
