Let The Magic In

The magicians knew what we forgot That speaking things aloud can make them real I whispered your name into the wind last winter And summer brought you to my door This is what the stories tried to tell us When they wrote about the spells and incantations Love isn't something that just happens It's a choice we make to let the magic in I watched my mother pray to empty skies And thought that faith was just elaborate pretending But now I understand she knew something true That hope can pull the future into now The world keeps spinning, we keep breathing And somehow that becomes a miracle When you decide it is This is what the stories tried to tell us When they wrote about the spells and incantations Love isn't something that just happens It's a choice we make to let the magic in This is what the stories tried to tell us When they wrote about the spells and incantations Love isn't something that just happens It's a choice we make to let the magic in
