Palindrome

Two shadows walking side by side One I show, one I hide Mirror images in reverse Which one speaks, which one's cursed? Split the atom, split the mind Duality by design Every action has its twin Living just beneath the skin Can't integrate what I won't face Can't destroy what I embrace Shadow self emerging From the places in the darkness Shadow self converging From the pieces in the process In the darkness between thoughts In the silence between screaming That's where both versions fought That's where nothing was emerging Face to face with what I am Face to face with what I'm not Both are real, both are true Both are everything I've got Shadow self emerging From the places in the darkness Shadow self converging From the pieces in the process
